All students in their groups went into the Rachel Whiteread sculpture exhibit. They were given time to sketch the variety of sculptures the artist has created or reasonably everyday objects. This work will go towards their coursework sketch books displaying they have done drawings from life.
After a lunch stop, a lovely walk between the two galleries was enjoyed when many of the students stopped to take pictures of the variety of architecture which was displayed along the river and up into the Kings Road.
At the Saatchi Gallery the students saw a more modern and controversial form of artwork, with the students being able to contemplate what really can be classed as art.
The sixth form art students were given special permission to view the exhibition about the Russian Pussy Riot movement, showing how different forms of art can be used in protest.
