The first and second football team players put their skills to the test against a touring New Zealand side on Tuesday.
The school welcomed two teams from Rutherford College, Auckland, New Zealand. The tourists are visiting Europe on a football tour, popping over to Barcelona and Real Madrid amongst other famous footballing cities across the continent after leaving the UK.
The first team played on the school's Tiger Turf, and the second team made use of the George Pitcher Memorial Ground on Britwell Lane.
PE teacher Mr Lawson said: “We were lucky enough to enjoy their company for an afternoon of football competing against our senior football teams.
“The 1st XI game was very well contested and Rutherord College ran out 5-3 winners, with some top quality finishing on display from both teams. The 2nd XI game finished 5-1 to Burnham Grammar, which despite the score line was a good contest between the two schools.
“We’d like to extend our thanks to Rutherford College for spending time with us on their tour, and we hope to see them again in one of our upcoming sports tours in the future.”
