Over 30% of students gained eight or more A* and A grades at GCSE

Our GCSE students received another top set of results today, with a 100% A* to C rate.

As our year 11 cohort finally saw what their hard work and dedication from the past two years had earned them, there were many cheers and smiling faces as the results envelopes were torn open.

Headteacher Dr Andy Gillespie said: "These are a fantastic set of results with nearly two thirds of our students gaining five or more A* and A grades and over one third of students gaining eight or more A* and A grades.

"Students and staff coped brilliantly with the mix of new and old GCSE courses and our students embraced all of the opportunities to improve their grades over the last two years."

Many of our students will be returning in September to start their AS Level courses, and we will also be welcoming some external students who have done well enough in their results to join us in the Sxith Form.

For the new year 12 students, you will need to register on Tuesday 5 September from 10am to 11.30am. School will start on Wednesday 6 September at 8.40am.
