Remote Learning : The BGS Blended Learning Programme

The Blended Learning Programme is designed to provide all students with the opportunity to access learning across the curriculum in the event of having to self- isolate. This will be achieved by facilitating learning opportunities through a variety of different experiences, each of which are intended to support their different learning styles and needs.

The Blended Learning Programme experience for our students involves students having the opportunity to access:

  • Streamed online lessons for those that are not able to come into school.
  • Guided Home Learning opportunities, through the use of Show My Homework and Google Classroom.
  • For shielding students there will be the opportunity for Small group tutorials, to allow students to have the opportunity to discuss their continued learning, progress and pastoral care needs.
  • Individual work emailed directly to them by their class teacher

We believe that through our Blended Learning programme our students have the range of learning opportunities needed to fully support them in their learning whilst they remain unable to come to school on a daily basis.

We do expect though that every student acts as a Responsible Learner to engage as fully as possible with each of the opportunities their teachers are providing.

For information about our Remote learning provision for the Academic year 2020-21 please refer to the guidance in the document below titled the BGS Blended Learning Programme.
