Burnham Grammar School are supporting International Women's Day 2021.This years campaign theme is called : #ChooseToChallenge

A challenged world is an alert world; we at BGS are 'Embracing Challenge' again! Individually, we're all responsible for our own thoughts and actions - all day, every day. We can all choose to challenge and call out gender bias and inequality.

Today we are focusing on the need to seek out and celebrate women's achievements. From challenge comes change, so let's all choose to challenge.

Many societies including our own are beginning to move on from women having to succeed in a man's world. Stereotypes are being challenged and diverse representation of women is more evident. However, there is still a continuing need worldwide for more progressive mindsets and inclusive actions to be forged. Collectively everyone everywhere can strive for equality.  

On this IWD2021 let's recognise that the rise of women is not about the fall of men. Everyone can play a role in forging gender parity. Being an ally, inclusive mindsets and tangible action are needed from all.

This week BGS students are being encouraged to choose, make a pledge and take a picture in support of a gender equal society.
