One of our year 12 students is donating her long locks of hair to the Little Princess Trust.

On Thursday (November 16), Stephanie Poole will be having 12 inches of her hair cut off to then sent to the charity to be made in to wigs for those undergoing chemotherapy treatment.

Stephanie made a promise in April to her Uncle after her aunt died that she would grow her hair long enough for it to be donated.

She saw her aunt go through chemotherapy, and even now is seeing her other uncle go through treatment for cancer.

She said: “I’ve always wanted to do something like this.

“I absolutely loved my aunt.

“This is a positive change, it’s so if people want the extra confidence they can have a natural hair wig.

“I decided a couple of weeks ago that my hair was now long enough to cut.

“People will benefit from my hair more than I will.”

Stephanie will see her hair now be cut to just    below her shoulders, something she is starting to feel nervous about.

As well as donating her hair, Stephanie is also fundraising for the Little Princess Trust.

She would appreciate anyone donating to the charity if they are able.

Stephanie has already exceeded her target to raise, but would like to be able to give as much as possible to the Little Princess Trust.

The Little Princess Trust, since 2006 has been providing real hair wigs, free of charge, to boys and girls that have lost their own hair through cancer treatment and other illnesses.
