Record Equalling GCSE Results at BGS

It was a happy and excited morning at BGS as students celebrated incredible success.

• Over 1/3 of all GCSEs resulted in a grade 8 or 9
• Nearly 4/5 of all GCSEs resulted in a grade 6-9
• 2/3 of students obtained 5 or more GCSEs at grade 7-9

Headteacher, Dr Andy Gillespie, stated:

‘This is the year group where COVID and lockdown had the most dramatic impact on their transition to secondary school.  They have had to work exceptionally hard to develop their skills and plug gaps in their knowledge.  Given their history, to have equalled our best ever GCSE results is exceptional and students, parents and staff should all be incredibly proud.’
