On Friday 12th and Monday 15th December, all students from years 7-11 were participating in the annual BGS "Winterhouse" competition in Rugby and Netball. The P.E Department runs the Winterhouse competition in order to provide all students the opportunity to represent their house in the sports that students have been working on since September in their P.E lessons.
The Event was a huge success with 900 students participating across the 2 days under the competition values of: sportsmanship, teamwork, enjoyment, discipline and respect. It was especially pleasing to see how well the students embraced challenge on the day, and played out the games with great respect and sportsmanship shown to each other. The P.E Department were also delighted with the teamwork and house spirit on display and it was fantastic to see some competitive games played with some superb individual performances across all year groups. Congratulations to all students that participated across the 2 days, and especially our Winterhouse Champions of 2025 - Winton House!
