Mud, mud and more mud welcomed Year 9 students (and their clothing) on their trip to Woodrow High House. Team work, communication, a lot of resilience and perseverance were all put to the test within various activities. Classics like group orienteering brought out the competitiveness amongst the students with a lot of successful navigators asking; “Are we first?” and “Are we the quickest?”.
High climbs and enclosed tunnel spaces were met with some nerves and trepidation. However, a lot of resilience and, for some students, sheer determination saw them climbing higher or joining their peers in the dark tunnels to emerge happy, confident and….. covered in mud. We can only apologise to the washing machines of Burnham Grammar School students who attended the trip.
