Four students in Year 8/9, Humza Shahzad, Robert Wong, Lily Chick and Daniel-Lewin Ray, represented Burnham Grammar School at the UKMT Team Maths Challenge Regional Final at Wycombe High School on Friday 13th March. Here is what one student, Daniel, had to say about the trip:
"We left for Wycombe High before school had even started. There were only 4 students from each school competing - two pupils from Year 8 and two from Year 9 - but while 80 students didn't exactly fill up the hall, the excitement sure did!
There were 4 rounds of puzzles, distributed across 4 hours.
Overall, we came 2nd - a far cry from the 7th we got last year! I don't think there was much in it, but I'm glad we don't know how much!
Although we didn't win, there is a small chance we make it to the final anyway. Wish us luck!"
