Record Equalling GCSE Results at BGS

It was a happy and excited morning at BGS as students celebrated incredible success.

• Over 1/3 of all GCSEs taken resulted in a grade 8 or 9
• 1/3 of all students achieved 9 or more GCSE grades at grade 7-9
• Nearly 4/5 of all GCSEs resulted in a grade 6-9
• Over 2/3 of students obtained 5 or more GCSEs at grade 7-9
• Over 2/5 of students obtained 8 or more GCSEs at grade 7-9

Headteacher , Dr Andy Gillespie, stated:

‘This year group have had to work exceptionally hard to develop their skills and plug gaps in their knowledge following their early COVID experience at BGS. Staff have generously provided individual support both inside and outside of the classroom and students have gratefully accepted this help. Given their history, to have matched our best ever GCSE results is exceptional and students, parents and staff should all be incredibly proud.’
