On Wednesday 4th November, our Year 12 Design Technology class visited Sunnybrook Care Home, as part of their community design project. The trip was focused on developing interactive products to support local senior residents - specifically looking at designs that assist with stroke recovery, motor coordination and cognitive health.

During their visit, they spent time exploring the care home and garden to better understand how the space is used, alongside delivering a presentation to staff about their initial research and product ideas. 

​It was a fantastic, hands-on experience that gave our students a real-world insight, and they are excited to start building functional prototypes tailored directly to the Sunnybrook community's needs.
