Academy Days – These are planning and personnel days when staff will work on areas to improve personal effectiveness, including essential safeguarding and health & safety training. To limit the impact on student learning of these additional days, staff will set work that can be completed at any point over the extended Autumn half term period. Virtual Learning, Flip, research or reading work linked to lesson work will be set for students on these days. This means that the impact on student learning of Academy days is lower.
Students are NOT in school on either INSET or Academy days.
We have used a combination of INSET and Academy days to provide an extended Autumn ½ term. This brings us in to line with other Bucks Grammar Schools and a very large number of other Bucks Secondary Schools who have extended their Autumn ½ terms.
