This year Burnham Grammar school hosted Space Camp for 140 new students.

Space Camp has a positive and significant impact on the transition from primary to secondary school. It enables the students to make new friends, meet new staff, familiarise themselves with the buildings plus have fun discovering all about space and fitness.

The event was supported with funding of £14199.74 from the Department of Education which assisted with staffing, Thorpe Park tickets, coaches and materials needed for the week.

A variety of activities took place including launching rockets, hurling eggs off heights to find out all about safe landings - or not and a trip to Thorpe Park which was enjoyed by all, even in the storm!
