As you will be aware, members of the teaching unions rejected the government’s recent pay offer on the grounds that it was too low and was not funded.

Therefore, there will be Teaching Strike action by the National Education Union (NEU) and this will take place on the following dates 

• Wednesday 5th July
• Friday 7th July

A significant number of teachers will be taking industrial action and so the school will be partially closed on both days.

Please see details below of the year groups that will be in school on these particular days.

Wednesday 5th July 2023 

The following year groups will be in school on Wednesday 5th July:

• Years 7, 10 and 12 students will be in school

On Wednesday 5th July students in the following years will be studying at home:

• Years 8 & 9

Students in Years 8 & 9 students should not attend school on Wednesday 5th July.

Friday 7th July 2023 

The following year groups will be in school on Friday 7th July:

• Years 8, 10 and 12 students will be in school
