In the last week of December, Year 12 BGS Students took part in a Year 12 Work Experience Day with SEGRO, in Slough Trading Estate. This day was designed to  introduce our students to the many opportunities and careers sectors available in the SEGRO Company and the businesses within the trading estate.

Students took part in a number of activities, meeting volunteers across different industries within SEGRO. It was a great opportunity for our students to gain understanding of the growing businesses locally and to understand the growth of careers within Slough and surrounding areas. Well done to all students involved.

We went to SEGRO as part of our work experience programme at BGS. Whilst on the trip, we had a brief talk about the interesting history of SEGRO and its presence on the slough trading estate. We also got to meet some volunteers from various organizations that work with SEGRO to give us an insight into different career opportunities. Furthermore, we also got to compete with each other in a design competition that entailed making our own manufacturing site using a building on the trading estate. I enjoyed the trip and I feel as though I have gained thorough knowledge of the different career opportunities that SEGRO offers.
