Meet and Greet Event : Monday 19^th February 2024 11.30am to 3pm

In line with parent feedback, the SEND Department are hosting a second Meet & Greet event, arranged to include a training course entitled Understanding Anxiety, that is being provided by the Autism Education Trust via Bucks Council. The training module is designed to help gain an understanding of anxiety in children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), though we would welcome all parents to participate.

Although the training is predominately aimed at providing strategies for staff to use within school, we hope that this will be of benefit to parents as it covers how anxiety can be expressed, as well as a toolbox of approaches to reduce anxiety and its associated triggers. We hope that this will support a more cohesive use of vocabulary and strategies between school and home. Lunch will be included.
