School Nurse Service
Bucks Healthcare NHS Trust school nursing service provide services which aim to promote health and prevent/reduce harm:
Alongside immunisations this is done via online health assessments in Yr 9, PSHCE educational sessions and on a one to one basis at school to prevent problems becoming big problems. Examples being; early support with anxiety/bullying/stress/weight/anger/young carer.
Evidence shows young people are most likely to get information from their friends or online, and therefore, it is crucial the information that your friends give you, or you give, is up to date and correct.
So come to YOUR School Nurse Drop-in Health zone - It’s YOUR opportunity to get up to date information and support on anything that’s on your mind that might affect your health and wellbeing. Responsible, respectful relationships and lifestyle promoted with drug and alcohol advice and sexual health services including pregnancy testing, STI screening and C-Card Scheme.
When? First and Third Monday of every month
Where? Cafeteria –though private room available.
Why? To check your knowledge and learn something, to gain support and advice. Knowledge is Power-Be empowered
Time –lunchtime
No appointment needed CONFIDENTIAL and non judgemental. Come with your friends or alone.
