Students vs staff charity dodgeball is great success

Last week students and teachers went head to head in games of dodgeball to raise money for Thames Valley Adventure Playground.

TVAP is a specially built playground which allows children and adults with special needs to play and have fun.

Students were invited to come to the Gym at Lunchtime on Tuesday 28th February, Wednesday 1st and Thursday 2nd of March, to take part in a series of mini dodgeball matches, in an attempt to gain house points by taking out teachers.

Students scored two house points for hitting a teacher, and one for still standing at the end of the game. Scores were quite close between the houses: King winning on the first day, Winton on the second and Roosevelt on the last day.

The games became more and more competitive as the days went on, the teachers were especially driven to win! On the last day in particular the teachers seemed overly competitive, so much so that in some games there were no students still standing once the time was up- perhaps they were getting revenge for bad behaviour in class!

A special thanks to all the teachers and students who took part, particularly Miss Lombard and the rest of interact for organising it!

All in all, it was a very fun event and we raised a lot of money for Thames valley adventure playground!
