Hola! Murcia

In June, 34 Year 8 Spanish students set off for a week of language, culture and fun. We stayed at the Arbolar Resort near the Mar Menor lagoon in Murcia.

We all enjoyed practicing our Spanish speaking skills in real life situations. We had a challenging day of water sports and visited the nearby town called Cartagena.  A boat trip, a tour of a Roman Theatre and eating Spanish churros and ice-cream were just a few things that we experienced. A visit to the local shopping centre, the bowling alley and spending our Euros at the shops were thoroughly enjoyed by all.

The week was topped off with a disco and a competitive football game on the last night. The trip was a massive hit and we would like to thank Senora Keys for organising this.

We all thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Murcia. The students studied hard and played hard, as well as speaking lots of Spanish. Many thanks to Mrs Lopez and Mr Miles, who helped to make the trip possible.
