Tasting Japanese cuisine, practising calligraphy, trying on Kimono, and testing our origami skills were part of the activities put opn at the Teikyo School for our year seven students this week.
The day out to the international school in Wexham is always a popular school trip for our year seven students, with the cohort at the school hosting a range of activities throughout the day as well as giving talks on elements of Japanese culture.
Our students were able to come away with their pieces of calligraphy, as well as origami cranes and flying stars as a souvenir of their time with the Teikyo School pupils. Burnham Grammar has been a long standing partner withe the Teikyo School, with some of their older students spending a fortnight or so with us on site experiencing life within a British secondary school, as well as using the opportunity to practise their English language skills.
