As you will be aware, members of the teaching unions rejected the government’s recent pay offer on the grounds that it was too low and was not funded.

Therefore, strike action by the National Education Union (NEU) will take place on:

• Thursday 27th April 2023 
• Tuesday 2nd May 2023 

A significant number of teachers will be taking industrial action and so the school will be partially closed on both days.

The following years groups will be in school on both of these strike days:

• Years 9, 11 and 13 students will be in school

Students in the following years will be studying at home:

• Years 7, 8, 10 and 12
• Students in Years 7, 8, 10 and 12 should not attend school on either of the above days.

Normal timetables for all year groups will resume on Friday 28th April 2023 and Wednesday 3rd May 2023.
